LEFT PICTURE Closeup of two photo-transistors glued side-by-side for stereo pick-up. They are Panasonic type PN116, cost is less than $2.00 each from Digi-Key.

RIGHT PICTURE Photo-transistors with wire leads attached and mounted on bracket that mounts through original hole for old photocell socket.

Closeup of photo-transistor mount bracket ( photo-transistors attached with super glue ).
Wires must be carefully soldered onto photo-transistor leads without getting the transistor too hot.
Use small gauge (24 or 28) stranded wire and cover solder connections with heat shrink tubing.
Be careful not to bent transistor leads, if bent several times they will break off.
